He co-worked on the editing of the documentary of beat-photographer Robert Frank about the Roling Stones - 'Cocksucker Blues'. This was just one of his works on independent documentations. His experiences in making docus influenced him in making music videos. His videos for the J. Geils Band - his brother Seth Justman is the piano player of the band - and for The Cars made him famous.
