David Kleiler, influenced by his parent who always took him to cinema studies courses, always wanted to become a director. He started as PA on various projects and was in a rock band. He went to film school and soon after that became a director for Matador Records. Since then he became the grand-father of all low-budget music video directors. He has directed videos for Helium, Girls Against Boys, Guided By Voices, Yo La Tengo, Lotion and others, directed commercials and worked on feature films. Also David Kleiler is the auther of on of the best books about music videos 'You Stand There: Making Music Video'. And he founded his own Company 'Burning Bridges Productions'.
