"Vantage Point" a new film currently in production at Columbia Pictures will feature Sigourney Weaver (who did a similar plot in 1993's "Dave). This time the story revolves around an assassination, told from five perspectives. Also singed on are Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox and William Hurt.

1 Also home-based on the Columbia lot is a film titled "30 Days of Night" in which Josh Hartnett investigates X-Files like things as Sherrif of Barrow. The story is based on the comic of the same name by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith, essentially a vampire tale.

Another Zombie/Vampire flick is "World War Z" going to be. The Max Brooks story made its rounds in Hollywood recently with Brad Pitt's production company "Plan B" and Leonardo DiCaprio's "Appian Way" fighting over the rights. Finally Pitt got them.
