Big Buck Bunny released

Some of you might know Elephants Dream, the result of the first open movie project from the makers of blender, the free open source 3D application.

A few years later, they started their second film, codenamed "peach", a tale about a big hearted bunny, now officially named "Big Buck Bunny". The film runs 10 minutes and rivals many commercial productions in terms of production value, animation quality and sense of humor.

As the film is open source, everyone is invited to watch, download and distribute it - for free! Since its release online on May 30th, 2008 thousands did. Be sure to check it out as well. We have information and clips up here at Clipland, including the full film.
