Apple iPod Love Train CommercialApple is trying a new twist with their now famous "Silhouettes"-Campaing.1 Running since May 2006, the spot which rivals a lava-lamp experience, is still the current ad featured by Apple on their official iPod Campaign Homepage. The 30-second spot titled "Seventy" uses the song "Love Train" by Wolfmother. 2 The Australian Heavy Metal outfit will surely be propelled to stardom after this stint into the ad world. Read more about them here and here. Regarding the ad, Apple's advertisers decided to change the background-colour style a bit. Over the past months we've already seen that Apple is gradually opening the strict Silhoutte-style for new ideas. The U2 ads had more highlights to let the bands physical features come out a bit more so the average watcher did recognise it was actually U2 playing. Now, on this advert, the monocromatic backgrounds are gone and a 70s psychedelic lava-lamp texture fills the space, matching music and tone of the commercial.
