MediaMarkt 'Lasst Euch Nicht Verarschen' Campaign
The Metro Group starts it BIG this time in Germany. With an extensive TV and print campaign the Metro Group's electronic retailer MediaMarkt is due for a fresh repositioning in the market.
The company's advertisers decided to produce as series of 7 tv commercials - all starring Oliver Pocher, a popular TV host in Germany - to reach a broad range of customers with the message that MediaMarkt is a smart and friendly location to go and shop.
In various situations the spots tell everyday stories from the shops where sales people interact in a funny and witty way with the customers.
The aim is to re-shape the retailer's image to be a young and friendly one - although it's 215 large stores across Germany and the hefty turnover of 4,8 Billion Euro in 2005.
An interesting aspect of the campaign is that is also aims to reach the 13,000 employees of the company to render the company a good playce to work at with friendly people all over.
A great idea to complete the picture was to gather all past mascots in the spots and create an image of the "large MediaMarkt family" - an aproach the advertisers surely pulled off.
